You’ll want to be as prepared as possible this winter by getting your vehicle in tip-top condition. Make sure it is running correctly so you are not stranded on the side of the road in freezing, snowy conditions!
Below is a checklist to verify before winter hits:
- Read owners manual and follow all service advice and instructions on your vehicle.
- Replace dirty filters.
- Change your oil and filter before winter.
- The cooling system should be flushed and refilled.
- Service the heater and defrost system if necessary.
- Replace old windshield wiper blades.
- Is your battery in excellent condition?
- Inspect all lights and bulbs.
- Have the exhaust system inspected.
- Make sure your brakes are in good condition.
- Do your tires have proper tread?
