The countdown is on for how many days are left of school! Kids are more excited than ever to begin to enjoy some summer fun. However, every year more outdoor activities means more accidents.
The CDC recommends parents and kids alike prepare for summer by staying on guard against water injuries and drowning, heat-related illnesses, mosquito-borne viruses and other hazards.
Here are some tips to make your summer more enjoyable and safe:
- Never leave kids in hot cars
- Be careful around the grill
- Helmet safety always
- Wear sunscreen and tick repellant
- Watch kids while swimming
- Stay off busy roads riding bikes
- Drink plenty of fluids
Vehicle safety for your children is important as well.
