If you own a restaurant, grocery store or other type of business that serves food to the public, you know how important it is that your commercial cooler is working properly. When it goes out or seems to be malfunctioning, panic begins to set in.
Below are several common issues and possible causes behind each:
- It’s not cooling. This can be caused by ventilation issues, the compressor going bad, dirt and grime buildup on the compressor or dirty coils.
- It isn’t powering up. If your refrigeration won’t turn on, either the plug has a short or the electrical outlet is not working properly. A voltage detector may be necessary to see if this is the issue.
- It won’t light up. Lighting issues can be caused by a broken bulb or electrical problem.
