Last week I received an email from Brian O’Grady, president and founder of mycubiclespace.com.
“Come on in and join our new small business community” was the sentiment of the email.
My first thought was whether this latest online community for business owners would be worth the time to sign up. In fact, how many small business owners do take the time to use this type of site, which essentially requires logging in and getting active regularly to see any sort of return on time invested?
The lack of time facing most small business owners makes me wonder if this may not be an ideal target market for an online community. Perhaps specialized verticals can prove to be worthwhile pursuits, as specific knowledge and resources can be found there when sought… But a general “online business community…? Who has the time for that when dealing with shipments, clients, employees, production, and a thousand other things taking your time during the day?
BUT… Upon a further look, MyCubicleSpace.com doesn’t seem to be so much a place for business owners to hang out as a vehicle for increasing your company’s footprint online. You can start a blog or issue a press release through the site. And there are some other neat things that can come in handy, from selling equipment through classified or posting want ads.
Why not join Brian and the gang over at MyCubicleSpace.com and see what’s in store for you?
